An infrared thermo inspection is necessary to assess the damages and amount of wet insulation that has to be replaced. After all the repairs are completed, a seamless membrane can be applied. This will work with all types of roofs—build-up, modified, metal, rubber, TPO, etc. In fact, there is a process to restore old rubber and TPO roofs and give them another life cycle, which is much cheaper than a full replacement. The type of surface prep, priming, and finish will vary depending on each situation.
